Week of March 17th:
1. Discuss features of digital cameras. Video can be found here. (This was done very quickly, I hope some students will make another one!)
2. Check the photo release list (who can and cannot be in a picture). Also remember that all pictures need to be appropriate for school.
3. Go to work page in wiki found here Work Page. As a class brainstorm for how this wiki is going to take shape. Before class is over pick a page the class will work on. If your class has already chosen this, visit the page to see our process and results!
4. Review information on digital cameras - only take appropriate photos, take care of the camera, and get pictures that support the page your class is working on.
Week of March 24th
1. Take photos off of cameras. (Teacher will do this to the laptop.)
2. If the class hasn't already, create new page. Make sure to add a link to the home page and the sidebar. Click edit on each, type the link name and then highlight it, and click the Link choice in the editing toolbar. Add a link to the new Wiki page.
3. Begin typing text into the new page.
Month of April
1. Upload selected photos to Bubbleshare. Create a class account and create an album for the wiki page. In the "View Album" section you will see ways to share your album. For example, http://www.bubbleshare.com/album/341207.4b0c3665b60/overview#12013260 Write down the album ID number, in this case 341207.4b0c3665b60 to be used in step 2.
2. On the wiki page, AFTER text has been typed, insert the Bubbleshare slideshow by clicking the Insert Plugin box on the edit menu. Put in the Bubbleshare album ID. The slideshow can go anywhere on the page.
Taking the photos, then retaking the photos took longer than expected! Each class ended up with approximately 40 photos. Photos were then put into groups and uploaded into their albums by category. We will be taking a break from this Wiki for a few weeks for a "breather" and will return before school is out :)
